1. Engagement Letters & Scope of Work

• Binding Contract: All professional services (including Audit, Tax, Advisory, and Accounting) are formally governed by an approved Engagement Letter, Service Proposal, or Statement of Work (SOW) executed between Kress Cooper and the client.
• Scope Definitions: In the event of any discrepancy between this general policy and specific commercial terms outlined in an executed Engagement Letter, the terms of the signed Engagement Letter shall prevail.
• Out-of-Scope Work: Additional services or scope expansions requested beyond the initial agreed terms will be billed separately upon mutual written consent.

2. Pricing, Invoicing & Taxes

• Currency & Quotations: All prices and quotes are issued in the currency specified on the proposal or invoice (typically AED, GBP, or USD).
• Value Added Tax (VAT): All fees are quoted exclusive of applicable statutory taxes. In accordance with local regulations, Value Added Tax (e.g., 5% UAE VAT, 20% UK VAT) or applicable local withholding taxes will be added to the invoice at the prevailing statutory rate.
• Payment Terms: Unless otherwise specified in the Engagement Letter, invoices are payable upon receipt or within the credit period defined on the invoice (typically 14 to 30 days).
• Payment Methods: We accept corporate wire transfers (SWIFT/IBAN), verified corporate cheques, and approved digital payment methods. All bank transaction or transfer fees are the responsibility of the remitting party.

3. Government & Third-Party Disbursement Fees

In the course of business setup, tax registration, trade license renewal, or company formation, Kress Cooper may collect and disburse official government fees on your behalf (such as fees paid to the UAE Federal Tax Authority, Department of Economy and Tourism, Free Zone authorities, UK Companies House, or HMRC).

4. Cancellation Policy

A. Professional & Corporate Advisory Services

Clients may request cancellation of ongoing professional services by providing written notice as stipulated in their Engagement Letter. Upon cancellation, the client remains liable for all work performed, hours logged, and out-of-pocket disbursements incurred up to the effective date of termination.

B. Kress Cooper Academy (Training, Seminars & Webinars)

• Notice 7 Days Prior to Start: Registrants may cancel their enrollment at least seven (7) business days prior to the course start date to receive a full refund or credit toward a future program.
• Notice Less Than 7 Days: Cancellations requested within seven (7) days of the start date are eligible for a 50% credit toward future courses, but are not eligible for a monetary refund.
• After Commencement: Once a training program has commenced, or after digital course materials and credentials have been accessed, fees are entirely non-refundable.

C. Startup Packages & Fixed-Price Bundles

Fixed-price corporate service packages (e.g., UAE/UK startup bundles) may only be canceled prior to the commencement of active onboarding or statutory document drafting. Once drafting or filing has begun, package fees become non-refundable.

5. Refund Eligibility & Criteria

Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are granted solely under the following qualifying circumstances:

• Service Non-Delivery: Where Kress Cooper is unable to fulfill the agreed-upon professional engagement due to reasons exclusively within our control.
• Overpayments & Duplicate Transactions: Where an administrative or banking error resulted in duplicate billing or an overpayment against an active invoice.

Non-Refundable Circumstances:

• Fees are non-refundable where service delivery is delayed, obstructed, or rejected due to the client’s failure to provide accurate, complete, or timely KYC documents, financial records, or necessary authorizations.
• Rejection of trade licenses, visa applications, or tax registrations by government authorities or regulatory boards due to client-side compliance failure does not entitle the client to a refund of professional advisory fees.

6. Refund Processing & Timelines

To request a refund, clients must submit a formal written notice to info@kresscooper.com including the relevant invoice number, transaction reference, and a detailed explanation of the claim.

• Review Period: All refund claims are reviewed and validated by our finance and compliance committee within seven (7) to ten (10) business days.
• Disbursement Method: Approved refunds are credited exclusively to the original corporate bank account or payment method utilized for the transaction within fourteen (14) to thirty (30) business days. In compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, refunds cannot be paid to third-party accounts.

7. Disputed Invoices

If you have questions or dispute any item on an invoice, you must notify our accounts team in writing within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date. Undisputed portions of the invoice must be paid within standard terms while the disputed amount is reviewed.
